One of the things that I appreciate about Buenos Aires is the abundance of small leafy plazas and parks. People here really seem to enjoy having green space. It seems that a common past time is to simply go to one of these parks, either with friends for a matte (traditional tea-drink here) or on your own just to take in the sunshine. I like it.
There is also one sort of big park, well, actually more like a collection of multiple little parks and squares all sort of connected that form what could be called the “central park” of Buenos Aires. Today I went exploring there with Juli, one of the Argentine girls who also is living with the Strong’s, and her sister, Sol. It was a perfect day, warm but not hot, sunny and just lovely. We started out by the botanical gardens, and then wandered up around one of the lagoons. Taking multiple photos was a very important activity for the two of them. Ha, so my camera is full of some combination of us standing next this tree or that flower or whatnot. Here are a few for you to enjoy as well!
