So, a couple weeks back at the end of June, had a long weekend off from school and so we decided to make the official tourist pilgrimage to Colonia, Uruguay. Its just an easy, couple hour ferry-ride across the river (the widest in the world, as los Argentinos are so proud to tell you) and you’ve left behind all the chaos and busyness of Buenos Aires and are in old Colonia, where you can wander around cobble streets, admire colonial architecture, and eat at one of the zillion restaurants for tourists. ha.
I went with a few friends and then spent a couple days on my own, just enjoying the quiet space to think, journal, and paint for a bit. Here are a couple pictures:
