The Freedom of Childhood.

So im sitting, waiting.  in the airport terminal. And I haven’t bothered to get up from my chair for the past two hours. Having glanced at all the overpriced souvenir t-shirts, now im content to just organize the various icons on my computer desktop.

And  there, in the periphery of my vision I can see these two kids, maybe 8 and 7, running around and playing together. They are having so much fun, just jumping in circles. And I cant help but think, when do we lose that ability? to find so much enjoyment in life, without needing something or some experience to get us there? When did I become so boring that I would rather sit and sort desktop icons than jump and skip???
