So i showed up back home in Connecticut -straight from the beginnings of the hot Argentina summer – into what would become the snowiest winter on record! I had actually missed two CT winters while living in Honduras, so I was pretty excited that first snow storm to get out there and shovel. I even insisted on doing it all by hand, not wanting to break the purity of the silence with the roar of the snowblower.
but then it snowed again. and again. and yet again. until we hit a new record with 4ft 11inches of snow in the month of January. After awhile that experience of shoveling became a bit less exciting, especially when it felt like the weather stations were forecasting a new storm every couple of days. But, it did make for some fun times playing in the snow as well. Got to do a bit of cross-country skiing and downhill skiing with my dad. And we even went snowshoeing in the woods behind our house, something that never happens.

Also dragged my brother and couple friends out for that classic sledding fun on the big hill from our childhood, but it turned out to be mostly trudging up the hill with very little actual sledding, thanks to an ice crust. I think next time we’ll have to bring some Pam and really spray the bottoms of our sleds good.

Anyway, these were just a few pics I just wanted to share…
