Dear God,
Thanksgiving was the other day. I didn’t spend any time being thankful though. Since its not a holiday here in Ecuador, I went in to work like any other day, the only difference that I was feeling sorry for myself, that I couldn’t be with my family. Not exactly the type of attitude that you would hope for on an official day of thanks.
But I really do have so much good in my life. Thank you so much that I have this job. And not only do I have a job, I have a job I enjoy, that is challenging to me, that feels fulfilling.
Thank you for my family. Even though they are far away, I know they love me. Of course we have our quirks, particular oddities, and occasional fights, but you have given me a family that loves me unconditionally.
Thank you for so much health. I honestly don’t even know what it means to be in pain or really be sick.
Thank you for all the people you bring in to my life. It hurts when they leave, but the moments we share are what make life in the day to day, beautiful.
Thank you for a warm comfortable home.
Thank you that I do not know what real hunger is.
Thank you for the beauty of the world.
simple, beautiful sentiment 🙂
Thanks, Danny! un abrazo!
