I Will Love you Forever

I will love you forever,

                He told me.

I will always be there for you,

                He promised me.

I will be strong for you, when you are weak,

                He assured me.

And when the world is breaking,

                Run to My arms, they will be your comfort.

I will give you everything, even what I love most to be with you.

I will love you forever.

                He said again.

And I looked into His eyes,

Wanting to finally believe the words,

Which I had heard from so many before.

But for the first time,

they came from the One

                Who really could promise them.

The Reply

But I’m so afraid

                I said.

I would rather do things my way, a bit longer.

I explained.

I have to be careful, you know,

And I when I trusted before,
