Walking around the streets of Quito, Cuenca or even small towns, you cant help but be struck by the incredible graffiti. Or it really deserves more to be called street art. Whimsical. Odd. Fanciful. Bizarre. Sometimes political. It is always creative. And always colorful. Much like the artisans that I work with here, street artists bring in to the work all the colors of their dynamic, sensual world.




You’ll also see a number of interesting political or social commentaries. I look at both of these each day as I walk out of my apartment door in Quito. They are good reminders in today’s world:
